Week 12 Story : The Chosen One

In the world of witchcraft and wizardry, there was an evil wizard who wreaked havoc all over the land killing or handicapping anyone through his dark magic. This wizard's name was Voldemort. One night he came into a home to destroy a family of three - a mother, father, and their son. Voldemort brutally ended the mother and father's lives, but their baby son, Harry Potter possessed a powerful magic deep within himself. As Voldemort thought up his last spell to end Harry Potter's life, he presumably vanished out of thin air due to Harry Potter's powerful magic.

Due to Harry now being an orphaned child, he was to go off and live with his aunt and uncle who didn't possess magical powers. In the world of normal humans, it was growing increasingly suspicious that there were wizards and witches living among them. The ones who possessed magic though, worked to great ends in order to keep their magic hidden from these normal humans; casting spells or drugging with potions that made these normal humans completely forget if they ever happened to encounter magic.

This was the problem for Harry Potter living with his new family, because they had no idea he or his parents were magical! Throughout Harry's childhood, his aunt and uncle always knew there was something about him that was a bit off. It was like he would make things levitate with his mind, or escape some form of assault out of nowhere.

One morning Harry was playing outside in the rain. His aunt and uncle were absolutely exhausted with him. They had no idea he was to be the wizard that ended all evil in the world of magic though! This very day, his uncle looked out the window and saw Harry with something in his mouth, but there was no food or crops outside for him to ingest, so he assumed he was eating mud from the flowerbeds. Harry's aunt went outside to scold him, but when Harry opened his mouth she didn't see mud, but the entire universe. Every single star, galaxy, and ceased, living, and future organism in the universe. Harry's aunt was astonished. She had no idea the powers that Harry truly had.

Author's Note:

I wanted to create a story along the lines of Krishna's childhood and him with the mud. Krishna, as the reader knows, is a powerful reincarnated avatar, but he does not, and neither does anyone around him. Similar to Harry Potter.

  1. Hi Preston!

This story was really cool and a good take on Krishna! I'm a big Harry Potter fan and when reading the stories of Krishna's childhood I also saw a lot of Harry in it! You're a really good story teller and have a way of saying things without making the characters do all of the talking if that makes sense. You use less quotations and more explanations and still get your point across and that is hard to do sometimes! Great story!

  2. Hi there,
What a cool connection to make between Krishna and Harry Potter! I never would have thought of that, but it's genius. I knew that Krishna is a powerful reincarnated avatar, but I never put together that he wasn't aware of it and that many of the modern heroes we love to read about are in the same boat. Great job!
